Since June of 2021 the Healing Faith team has been working with local leaders and village health team leaders within the Kibbi Parish, which is comprised of the 7 villages surrounding Malaria Center 2, to collect data regarding malaria related deaths each month.

In the first 7 months of 2022, the Parish was averaging 39 malaria-related deaths a month. When Malaria Center 2 opened in August of 2022, this number immediately dropped to only 4 malaria-related deaths.

As word of the Center began to spread and more patients began receiving testing, treatment and education, the number of malaria related deaths continued to reduce. Since February of 2023, there have been 0 malaria-related deaths in the Kibibi Parish!

Malaria-Related Death

Kibibi Parish Population 15,319

This shows that with feasible access to testing, treatment and education, malaria does not have to be the number one killer of children under the age of 5 in Uganda. Malaria does not have to claim the lives of loved ones in Uganda.
