Uganda has the highest malaria burden worldwide with 90% of its population at risk. ​Malaria is a leading cause of death for children under the age of 5 years in Uganda and the number one cause of sickness for all Ugandans. The malaria death rate in Uganda is on the rise and is estimated to be between 70,000-100,000 deaths per year, exceeding that of HIV/AIDS. It DOES NOT have to be that way, malaria  costs around a dollar to treat. Learn more.
